New Azerbaijan Party, Montenegro`s Democratic Party of Socialists sign MoU on cooperation
The New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and Montenegro`s Democratic Party of Socialists signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation.
The MoU was signed by YAP`s executive secretary and deputy chairman, MP Ali Ahmadov and leader of Montenegro`s Democratic Party of Socialists, former president and prime minister of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic.
Speaking in the event, Ahmadov pointed out that Azerbaijan established close relations with Montenegro after restoring its independence. The relations between the sides are developing steadily. High level relations between the heads of the two states create ample opportunities for comprehensive development of ties between the two countries. Numerous documents signed between the sides created a strong legal framework for cooperation. Expansion of relations between the political parties will contribute to further strengthening of ties between the two states and peoples.
The YAP official briefed Djukanovic on dynamic development of Azerbaijan, achievements, preparation for Eurovision-2012 song contest.
In turn, Djukanovic stressed Montenegro is interested in boosting ties with the most developed country of the region – Azerbaijan, adding the memorandum signed between the two parties will contribute to deepening relations between the peoples of the two countries.
The sides exchanged views on prospects of relations between the youth organizations of the two parties, reciprocal visits, international cooperation and other issues.
